Japanese high-tech discipline meets a minimalist Swedish ecological approach with Stone Italiana’s engineered quartz slabs containing recycled glass.
Fujitsu is Japan’s leading Information and Communication Technology company and it has offices all over the world, including the city of Stockholm. For the Swedish head office, Stone Italiana created the counter and desk worktop in the Greenbell colour, a design from the Inserti collection.
In the quest for a visually impressive result for the brand’s store, Fujitsu did not ignore the minimalist, eco-friendly and functional characteristics that are distinctive features of Swedish architecture.
Greenbell, which is currently a special colour, is made by using recycled glass from collection bins. This material is collected, ground, cleaned, and given a second life by high-tech quartz processing plants.
This is the origin of the many different colours of the glass chips in the slab, including dark brown, golden chestnut, deep bottle green and bright green.
In this way, Stone Italiana’s technological expertise and distinctive style are embodied in an interior design accessory made using recycled materials that are reinserted into the manufacturing process, a perfect example of the circular economy.
Durability, sustainability and bespoke interiors: Stone Italiana dedicates research to all areas of production, from the range of finishes to the enhancement of product performance.
It is committed to working on innovative colours and textures and researching bespoke mixes and granulometries, for customized quartz slabs that meet the specific technical and visual needs of the interiors in which they are installed.
