Stone Italiana has been chosen to bring the legend of Fellini back to life in a historic Rimini cinema. In fact, the company’s services were requested by Studio Brera 17 as part of the renovation of Palazzo Valloni in Rimini, formerly the Fulgor Cinema, in order to convert it into the new Casa del Cinema (House of Cinema), along with the Federico Fellini Museum and the adjoining Municipal Film Library.
Stone Italiana supplied about 500 square meters of floor and wall tiles for the foyer, the main staircase and the secondary staircases leading to the halls, and also for the bathrooms. The product used was Metallico, a very unusual glittering material that contains metallic silicon derived from the aluminium and microelectronics industry.
The renovation of Palazzo Valloni is part of a more extensive project, worth over 25 million euro, involving the entire city of Rimini. The Renaissance halls of Castel Sismondo have been transformed into Fellini sets, while the urban area between Piazza Malatesta, Teatro Galli and Palazzo dell’Arengo has been redeveloped.
