228,500 square metres of floor space, 550 stores and a 27,500-square-metre hypermarket: these are the figures describing Aviapark, the mega “shopping and entertainment centre“ built in 2014 and located in the northwestern part of Moscow.
Hallmarked by a hyper-modern structure topped by a huge glass ceiling, AviaPark is even larger than MetroCentre in the United Kingdom, which up until recently was considered the largest shopping centre in Europe.
To furnish some of its interior spaces, AviaPark chose Stone Italiana, which supplied about 68 thousand square metres of engineered quartz flooring.
Made to measure using waterjet technology, these slabs enhance the interiors with their dynamic style and colour, and they are a good example of the commitment that Stone Italiana has always dedicated to experimentation and customisation.
In fact, Stone Italiana conducts research on all areas of manufacturing, from the range of finishes to enhancing product performance. The company is committed to increasing mechanical strength, reducing slab thickness and weight, testing innovative colours and textures and researching bespoke mixes and granulometries, for customised quartz slabs that meet the specific technical and visual requirements of the spaces in which they are installed.
