For this prestigious new private residence in South Wales, Katie Lusty, Creative Director at Elementi Cucina, worked closely with the owners and architects to create a contemporary environment with an innovative style that reflects the residents’ personalities.
The family’s bold and modern spirit is evident in their choice to separate rooms with glass walls mounted on dark metal frames, offering a fresh perception of space. For instance, in the master suite, these glass walls separate the dressing area and private bathroom from the bedroom.
In the dressing room, the central island and dressing table are clad with recomposed quartz slabs in the GOLDEN colour by Stone Italiana. This is a material with refined aesthetics and extraordinary technical qualities, resistant to knocks and scratches and, due to its composition, versatile in any domestic environment.
Like the other furnishings in this space, the island is presented as a volume with minimalist taste and square shapes whose sides are enhanced by the veins of the GOLDEN finish. The table dedicated to the beauty routine accommodates three large drawers and provides plenty of space for a chair or stool.
Adding further dynamism to the room are the opaque glass cupboard doors that add a touch of softness to the whole, and the industrial-style lighting, with bare light bulbs descending in clusters from the ceiling at staggered heights. The reflective quality of Stone Italiana surfaces enhances the light points, creating a modern yet warm and welcoming atmosphere.
