StarBlack CMT represents the most intense shade in the K-Star range. Its surface features a deep black background speckled with small white inserts, creating a contrasting effect similar to a starry night. This bold texture makes the slabs perfect for contemporary projects seeking an elegant and impactful focal point.
The K-Star collection was created to offer the world of architecture and interior design a sustainable and accessible material. Its grain, larger than other Cosmolite lines, evokes the appearance of natural stone without being a mere imitation. Like all Cosmolite® surfaces, StarBlack is produced through vacuum vibro-compression of 100% recycled non-quartz aggregates; the binder contains a percentage of plant-based materials. This process gives the slabs excellent technical performance: resistance to scratches, stains, and heat (up to approx. 180 °C) and ease of fabrication. International certifications also attest to the material’s safety for food contact and low VOC emissions.
StarBlack CMT is available in three finishes – Gloss, Grain 2.0, and Rocplan 2.0 – and is produced in 144 × 307 cm slabs with a thickness of 2 cm. It is suitable for kitchen and bathroom countertops, flooring, cladding, and custom furniture, where the contrast of black with white micro-inserts adds depth and sophistication to spaces.
