Base CMT is the “neutral” variant of the CMT Essential range. The surface features a mid-cream shade with a very fine and uniform grain. The regular texture recalls the essentiality of quartz but with a warmer tone, capable of pairing with natural materials such as wood and stone. Ideal for understated and bright environments, Base CMT creates a harmonious dialogue with fabrics and furnishings in both modern and classic contexts.
Like all Cosmolite® surfaces, Base CMT is made from 100% recycled pre-consumer minerals, mixed with a binder partly derived from plant sources. This quartz-free composition reduces environmental impact and guarantees high technical performance: the slabs are easy to process, stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and heat-resistant up to approximately 180 °C. The use of recycled materials and low silica content contribute to environmental certifications (LEED v4, UL Greenguard Gold, NSF/ANSI 51) that make Cosmolite safe for food contact.
Base CMT is available only with a Gloss finish which enhances the brightness of the cream shade. CMT Essential slabs come in a 144 × 307 cm format and thicknesses of 1.2 cm or 2 cm.
