REFUND AND RETURN POLICY
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Standard Warranty is valid only in Italy for kitchen countertops and bathroom countertops purchased within the country.
Without prejudice to the consumer rights set forth in the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree of September 6, 2005)
Pursuant to No. 206 and subsequent amendments, the Standard Warranty is exclusively limited to, confined to, and applies solely to the non-absorbency of liquids and neutral and/or acidic detergents—under normal environmental conditions—of Stone Italiana’s engineered quartz kitchen and bathroom countertops.
Upon delivery of the kitchen countertop and/or bathroom countertop, the Consumer must request that the Stone Italiana retailer issue the CARD, duly completed, which is required to activate the Standard Warranty, along with the corresponding tax document proving the purchase.
To activate the Standard Warranty, the Consumer must register on the stoneitaliana.com website in the “Garanzia Italia” section within 30 days of the delivery date of the kitchen countertop and/or bathroom countertop (invoice date/
receipt/shipping document).
Pursuant to Article 132 of Legislative Decree 206/05, within two months of the date on which the defect was discovered, the Consumer must notify Stone Italianal S.p.A. by registered letter with return receipt, including a photocopy of the tax document proving the purchase, a copy of the email confirming activation of the Standard Warranty following registration on the stoneitaliana.com website, and photos demonstrating the defect.
This Standard Warranty is void in the following cases:
- if the Consumer fails to activate the Warranty on the website or if it is activated
- with false information;
- if the Consumer fails to report the lack of conformity in accordance with the procedures set forth in Section E;
- If the Consumer loses or does not have the documents referred to in the
- Point E;
- if the Consumer has performed work—either directly or through a third party—on the kitchen and/or bathroom countertop covered by this Warranty for the purpose of restoration and/or repair, without prior written authorization from Stone Italiana S.p.A.; – if the Consumer fails to follow the instructions provided in the “
” brochure titled “Cleaning and Maintenance of Countertops,” available on the stoneitaliana.com website in PDF format.
In any case, the Standard Warranty will no longer be valid 180 months after the date of delivery of the kitchen countertop and/or bathroom countertop.
The warranty claim cannot be exercised in the following cases:
- for defects attributable to the stages following the production of the material by Stone Italiana S.p.A., such as the design, fabrication, transportation, and installation of the kitchen countertop and/or bathroom countertop;
- for kitchen countertops and/or bathroom countertops previously used at
- exhibition showrooms;
- due to color differences between the sample and the delivered surface;
- due to thermal shock and/or exposure to direct heat sources;
- for chips caused by collisions or impacts with other objects;
- in case of detachment of inserts (glass/mirror/mother-of-pearl);
- for cracks in the kitchen countertop and/or bathroom countertop that occur after installation, where the causes are attributable to handling, direct contact of the surface with heat, excessive weight on the countertop, or severe impacts.
