The Tour Ariane is a commercial skyscraper that rises above the rooftops of La Défense, Paris’s financial district. Standing 152 meters tall and spanning 36 floors, the tower features an original exterior cladding that carries its uniqueness and distinctiveness into the grand entrance hall.
It is precisely here that Stone Italiana slabs were installed on the floor—not as part of a specific collection, but as a custom project, designed and produced by the company specifically to meet the needs of architect Silvio Petraccone and the building’s intended use.
The floor consists of slabs that differ not in composition, finish, or size, but in color: upon closer inspection, in fact, two shades of red alternate, expertly achieved by Stone Italiana through the architect’s collaboration with the company’s in-house laboratory. This result symbolizes the tireless research that characterizes Stone Italiana’s development: even when it comes to tones and nuances, Stone never stops experimenting, managing to create shades that are very similar yet still distinct.
