This is a stunning boutique hotel and art gallery in Villa Amistà that journalist Paola Dezza, writing in *Il Sole 24 Ore*, describes as “a hotel with a view of art.” But what makes this hotel truly special is above all the courage and passion for beauty—in all its forms—of Dino Facchini, founder of the Byblos brand, who, in collaboration with designer Alessandro Mendini, has brought together past and present through contemporary furnishings and the inclusion of one-of-a-kind pieces. The recent renovation of the bathrooms marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the hotel and Stone Italiana, chosen to provide the wall tiles and countertops for these spaces. Particularly original are the designs featuring on the shower backsplashes, conceived to reproduce images from the famous Chinese puzzle, the Tangram; each figure is different from the others, yet all were created in Stone Italiana’s creative workshop, which developed custom colors specifically for them.
