Like all Cosmolite® surfaces, Luna CMT is composed of non-quartz aggregates derived 100 % from pre-consumer recycled minerals. The mixture of recycled aggregates is compacted using vacuum vibrocompression with a binder partially derived from renewable plant sources. This composition reduces environmental impact and gives the material high technical performance: it is easy to clean, stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and heat-resistant up to approximately 180 °C. Thanks to these characteristics, Luna CMT is certified to LEED v4, UL Greenguard Gold, and NSF/ANSI 51 for food contact.

The Luna variant is available only in a gloss finish, which gives the surface a luminous appearance and elegant highlights. The slabs in the CMT Essential collection measure 144 × 307 cm and are available in thicknesses of 1.2 cm or 2 cm. They are designed for a wide range of applications: kitchen countertops and cabinet doors, bathroom wall tiles, flooring, and home furnishings.
