The fusion style is a blend of contemporary or historic trends that aims to achieve new sensations and impactful combinations. In the furnishing sector, this decorative approach is based on the objective of giving interiors a distinctive character by mixing styles, materials, colours and formats.
Slabs of Stone Italiana quartz were used for the interior design of this unusual bathroom in a residence in the heart of Verona. The slabs were used for wall cladding,for flooring and for vanity tops for the basin units.. The colours and finishes of the selected collections, Classic and Micro, were linked to eclectic interior design accessories, such as the slender ethnic-style statuettes and the large suspended chandelier with crystal pendants, chosen to harmoniously blend furnishing styles and trends.
The wall cladding and quartz floors were made for the customer using waterjet processing techniques, which allow the slab to be customized by means of bespoke profiling.
For this specific application, Stone Italiana proposed a half-moon pattern reminiscent of groovy 1970s patterns, with vertical applications on the wall in alternating stripes of colour.
The choice of Stonit engineered quartz products was particularly multi-faceted: the Classic collection, in the colours Virgo (white) and Base (light beige), was used in combination with the Micro collection, in the colours Greige (grey) and Taupe (black) to create the decorative motif on the wall and floor. For both collections, the Gloss finish was chosen.
The Classic collection in the light Virgo Gloss shade was used as a wall cladding material for the side wall, while the Micro collection, again in the Greige Gloss colour, was chosen for the vanity top providing the base for the washbasin.
The Stone Italiana collections were therefore instrumental in cladding this domestic bathroom in Verona, highlighting the technical performance of quartz slabs in visually impressive designs distinctive for their colour and personality, and helping to underline the sophisticated style of this domestic interior, a space that expresses relaxation and intimacy to the highest possible degree.
