Craken is derived from an idea by Stone Italiana, a return to the concept of craquelure – usually associated with a type of glazed ceramic – reinterpreting it in a contemporary, close-up version, creating an effect that has never been seen before.
Its distinctive feature is a strongly artisanal character: the web of cracks is expertly crafted by breaking the slabs, followed by the process of recomposition and “joining” that creates surfaces that are ideal for cladding in contract projects and sophisticated, unusual interiors, as well as for kitchen tops with a markedly original appearance.
